It's spin time!!
Many of the shelter regulars may be familiar with the MSPCA's farm pig, "Buster". We know him as large and in charge, as well as super smart!! But not many of you may know him as the (semi) little piglet that he came in as! Buster is the longest resident at the Farm and he has been a hot ticket ever since he arrived back in 2011! Visit him after Halloween and you'll see what I mean; he's learn how to teach visitors and staff to feed him pumpkins & veggies if he just plops his butt on the ground on command! (see video!)
This year I'm spinning for Buster. He's seen many a visitor come and go during his 7 on the farm, but has never found the perfect one to snatch him up and take him home. While he is the shelter’s longest resident, he wears that title proud and still holds his head high as one of our beloved mascots!
The MSPCA relies totally on donations in order to care for the 7,000+ animals they take in every year. They are not funded in any way, shape or form by the state, the city or the government. Fundraising programs such as this help us keep our animals healthy, well fed and enriched during their stay with us; whether that stay be 7 days or 7 years!!
[In addition to housing the beloved swine that come to our farm, the MSPCA has started offering affordable Pot-bellied Pig spay/neuter surgery for folks in need of financial assistance see the link to apply: http://support.mspca.org/site/Survey?ACTION_REQUIRED=URI_ACTION_USER_REQUESTS&SURVEY_ID=13646]
Will you help Buster and the other thousands of animals the MSPCA cares for every year? Every little bit counts and will be put to great use at the fabulous organization!
A huge thank you in advance!!
