Spinning for the animals that need us the most!
This year has brought so many great new opportunities to help people and animals, but it as also brought so many challenging situations that have really tested the emotional resilience of even our most seasoned staff, myself included. In the last few months we have been challenged by cases that have involved severely starved dogs and goats as well as the worst neglect case that required us to manually dig two severely neglected horses out of their stalls that they were entombed in with over 4 feet of shavings and feces.
These types of cases certainly shake us to the core, but even when we encounter what seems like insurmountable odds, our team always digs deep to turn despair into hopefulness. For the brief moments of loss of faith in humanity that I encounter when we first encounter these cases, the incredible transformations that happen coupled with the incredible support from our community more than restore my belief that the work we are doing is truly building the just and compassionate society we strive for.
This year I am dedicating my ride to the incredible transformative work that our teams work hard to create. I believe so deeply in our community and am proud that the MSPCA plays an integral role in helping to protect animals and support the people that love animals.
I hope that you consider supporting my fundraising for the Spin for Animals this year with as little or as large of a donation as you are comfortable with, and I thank you in advance for your continued support!
