Because of her profound compassion for abandoned and stray cats, Deborah Jane Boyden rescued and cared for hundreds of abandoned cats during her lifetime. She fed feral cats when she could not capture them and had tremendous patience with those who remained nearly wild, but came into her house under her care. Ms. Boyden succumbed to cancer at the age of 78 on June 13, 2012. May she rest in peace for eternity.

I miss you, Aunt Debby, and will make sure that future generations in our family know about and learn from the example of your great compassion and care for abandoned cats.
