Hi … I am Milo, and a few days ago I was flown up from Ft. Worth Texas to find my forever home here in New England. We have no history for me, and I am a bit scared right now, having been through such transition over the past week.
I will need a slow introduction to my new home, litter box, and any existing pets while I settle in and become comfortable in my new surroundings.
The shelter is open Tuesday through Sunday from noon – 3:00pm, with no appointment needed to meet available cats.
We recommend providing a safe indoor enclosure that allows a rabbit to stretch their legs and move around. The needs of each rabbit are unique and if you have questions about the right type of enclosure for the rabbit you are interested in, please give us a call! We are happy to provide guidance and advice
* If you think you are a good fit, stop by Tues-Sun from 1-4 during our open hours! For more information on our adoption process, please visit www.mspca.org/capeadoptionprocess .

More about Kitty:
I am a social girl with people in my friendship bubble. I am curious and adventurous, and would climb up onto cabinets, counters, and on top of the fridge. My adopter should be okay with me climbing onto things in my new home … I like to height seek!!
I will need a slow introduction to my new home and litter box. It takes me time to warm up in a new environment, and I would often hide but eventually come out for attention. My adopter should be cat-savvy, comfortable reading cat-body language, and able to let me adjust at my own pace.
I can be skittish and afraid of loud noises or sudden movement. A quiet, low-traffic home is recommended for me.
The shelter is open Tuesday through Sunday from noon to 3:00pm, with no appointment needed to meet available cats. Starting Sunday, May 5, the shelter will be open noon to 4:30pm.
Compatibility:
Cats: No thanks! History of being aggressive to the cat in previous home
Dogs: Possibly – might be okay with a cat-savvy dog who knows to give Kitty space. Needs to have a slow introduction.
Kids: Yes, but should be cat-savvy
Finches have a wonderful voice, and can be a joy to watch, but tend not to be a “hands on” bird. Native to Australia, finches can live up to 10 years with proper nutrition and care. We recommend that finches live in pairs or groups whenever possible.
We recommend a cage that is at least 27”x24” (Width x depth) with a maximum of ½” bar spacing. Cages should include lots of perches, trays for food/water and lots of toys for enrichment. As a result of finches being a “hands off” bird they tend to spend much of their lives inside their cage, so we heavily recommend investing in a very spacious cage with lots of enrichment.
The needs of each finch are unique and if you have questions about the right type of enclosure for the finch you are interested in, please give us a call! We are happy to provide guidance and advice.

Meet Percy, a big, happy boy with a heart of gold just waiting to find his forever home. While he may take a moment to warm up, once he does, he’s your loyal companion for life, eager to shower you with love and affection. Percy’s friendly nature extends to his canine pals, making him the perfect addition to any dog-loving family. If you’re ready for a lifetime of tail wags, cuddles, and unconditional love, Percy is waiting to be your best friend.
Meet Artie! This handsome fella came to us from a home without much history known. He can take a little time to warm up and would likely do best in a quieter home. He lived with many other cats and would likely do well living with other cats!
If you’re interested in adopting a cat, stop by Tues-Sun from 1-4 during our open hours.
Guinea pigs can make wonderful pets! They are very social creatures which means that they generally need at least one companion! Of course guinea pigs should only be kept with other piggies of the same sex. A pair of guinea pigs needs at minimum 10.5 sq. feet of cage space, or roughly 30″ x 50″ with a solid bottom, but more room is always encouraged! Guinea pigs can be quite noisy which can be lovely as long as you are expecting it!

Buggsy is a cute and flashy paint mare who would make an adorable addition to your barn! We are looking for a companion-only home for Buggsy along with her best gal pal Muffin.
Buggsy has settled into our program at Nevins really nicely and is easy to halter in her stall, lead to her paddock, and catch for turn in. She is an easy keeper (as most ponies are) and seems quite hardy and healthy! We don’t have a full picture of her history, but as far as we know she came from an auction in Oklahoma and hasn’t done much ridden work in her life. She would be best suited to just hang out and be your best friend from the ground!
Buggsy is patient for vet care and enjoys being groomed and fussed over. She seems to really like her cozy stall this winter, but could likely handle living out 24/7 with adequate shelter and blanketing in bad weather.

More about Maple:
I was recently transported from Texas to Massachusetts to find my forever home! I came with a group of cats aged from 4 months to 3 years, and most of us appear to be friendly and ready to meet prospective adopters!
The shelter is open Tuesday through Sunday from noon – 3:00pm, with no appointment needed to meet available cats.
Meet Toona! She’s a sweet, cuddly girl. If you’re a quiet person who enjoys a good tv show or book, Toona’s favorite place to hang out is on the couch with you. She’s lived with another cat before, and would probably be okay with a mellow kitty friend.
If you think you are a good fit and would like to learn more, stop by our Boston Adoption Center. We have open adoption hours Tuesday-Sunday from 12pm-3pm – no appointment needed.

This 12 year old spayed female cat is looking for her new home. Stoney is a bit on the shy side so
would do best in a very quiet home with a low key lifestyle (not a lot of visitors/comings and goings).
She would need some time to adjust to her new surroundings. She has a good history of living with an another cat, but a slow intro into the home with other cats would be very beneficial for her. In her own time once she gets to know her person, she is very affectionate.
Stoney is hanging out in a less stressful area of the adoption center, so please ask staff for more info.
Feel free to stop by the shelter during open hours (Tuesdays thru Sundays 1pm to 3pm) if you’re interested in adopting Stoney
Say Hey to Regina George! Regina is a sassy and playful Lionhead Rabbit who is ready for her new home! Regina George would do best with an experienced bunny owner, as she has a bit of spicyness to her.
