Animal control bill passes senate with pets/domestic violence amendment
Great news - the comprehensive animal control bill, now S.2192, passed the Massachusetts Senate with several amendments attached, including one that contains the language of S. 682, filed by Sen. Clark to include pets in orders of protection. To the House!
"joint rule 10" day - animal bills moving forward
March 21st was "Joint Rule 10" day, the deadline for Joint Committees to report bills out. Several animal bills made the cut, including antifreeze bittering, veterinary care, ban on sale of puppies under 8 weeks, and, unfortunately, moose hunting.
