Salem can be a shy little lady at first, but once she warms up to you she can be a total love bug. We don’t have much history on Salem, but we do know that she previously lived with another cat in the home. If you’d like to meet Salem, come on down to our Cape Cod location during our open hours!
Meet Cinnamon- this sweet pig is looking for her forever home. She currently lives with her sister Cocoa and enjoys her company. She can be found snuggling with her sister, or sharing a meal with her- as she loves her veggies!
Guinea pigs can make wonderful pets! They are very social creatures which means that they generally need at least one companion! Of course guinea pigs should only be kept with other piggies of the same sex. A pair of guinea pigs needs at minimum 10.5 sq. feet of cage space, or roughly 30″ x 50″ with a solid bottom, but more room is always encouraged! Guinea pigs can be quite noisy which can be lovely as long as you are expecting it!

Meet Hank! Hank is a beautiful Lorikeet who is ready to fly off to their new home. They have a history of overplucking and so a relationship with an exotics vet will be a plus!
Lorikeets can be highly social (even attention seeking!) and have beautiful colors. Lorikeets originate from the southeast Asia archipelago or parts of Australia and tend to live in large groups. They can live up to 30 years with proper nutrition and care. They are nectivores and eat nectar, pollen, fruits and veggies.
Lorikeets can be very active, requiring lots of enrichment opportunities and can be wonderful training companions. They love to play with toys and will play with just about anything! Because Lorikeets cannot talk, they can be quieter than other parrot species. Hank does still love to make himself known though!
We recommend a cage that is at least 32”x23” (Width x depth) with a maximum of 5/8-3/4” bar spacing. Cages should include lots of perches, trays for food/water and lots of toys for enrichment. Lorikeets love to bathe and ideally will have the ability to bathe multiple times a day.
The needs of each bird are unique and if you have questions about the right type of enclosure for the bird you are interested in, please feel free to give us a call! We are happy to provide guidance and advice.

Cape Cod

We’re Rico and Tito, a dynamic duo of chihuahua mix brothers on the hunt for our new home! Life’s been a bit sheltered for us so far, but that just means we’re experts in the art of cuddling and cuteness.
We’ll admit, we’re a tad shy at first, but give us some time and patience, and we’ll shower you with more love and affection than you can handle.
We’re looking for a calm home with no young kids running around – we prefer our quiet time for naps and cozy cuddles. And while we’d love to stick together like peanut butter and jelly, we understand if you can only handle one dollop of chihuahua love at a time.
So, if you’re ready to add a sprinkle of spice and everything nice to your life, swing by and speak to adoption staff about us, Rico and Tito! We promise to fill your days with endless tail wags and adorable antics.

Due to his history of chasing cats, Maverick is best suited for a cat-free home where he can thrive without temptation. If you’re looking for an enthusiastic and spirited companion who will keep you on your toes and bring endless joy to your life, Maverick is the perfect match for you!
Meet Loon! She is 8 months old and is ready for her new home! She can be worried in new situations and is looking for someone to give her time and space to feel cozy/comfortable but once shes opened up, she gets excited easily and loves to play! While she and her adopters get to know each other, her bubble should be kept small and predictable. Additionally, her adopters should be prepared for all things puppy: house training, puppy-proofing, and working on fine-tuning her manners using a gentle approach. Any kids in the home should be old enough to give her space while shes settling in, and to participate in training once shes more comfortable in the home.

Worried about ticks and flies around your barn this summer? Our guinea fowl can help! We have several male guinea fowl available for adoption and they are experts at eating up any and all insects around your property. They are a bit shy and skittish around people, but get along with each other very nicely and have easily coexisted within a mixed flock of roosters and hens. They have stunning feathers and a very distinct voice when they get all riled up. They are a super entreating bunch who love to zoom around in their outdoor enclosure and perch up high in the sunshine.

Trust us – she’s even cuter in person! Muffin is an older pony mare who is looking for a companion-only home with her best friend Buggsy.
Muffin was a bit shy and avoidant of touch when we first met her, but she has fallen into a great rhythm with us and is now easy to halter in her stall, lead to her paddock, and catch for turn in. She is an easy keeper and seems quite hardy and healthy! Muffin does well living out 24/7 and stalling overnight with day time turn out. She is super flexible!
We wouldn’t go so far as to say she is a kid-safe pony yet, but it is possible she could get there with some time and patience. She has been straightforward for us to work with and hasn’t offered a bite, kick, or rear. She does require an experienced handler for vet care, but has also improved greatly for this type of handling in the time we’ve had her. She stands well for the farrier and tolerates grooming – we think she’ll enjoy it one day when she finds a family who will dote on her!

Introducing Cob, the endearing three-year-old beagle mix whose gentle spirit shines through his initial nervousness. Cob may take some time to acclimate to new environments and situations, but his sweet nature and affectionate demeanor make the wait well worth it. With patience and understanding, you’ll witness Cob’s true personality blossom as he gradually opens up and reveals his loving nature. Despite his initial shyness, Cob adores people and craves companionship, eagerly soaking up every ounce of affection he receives. Cob has a history of esaping, so will likely need some extra management to prevent him from rushing through doorways. If you’re willing to offer him the patience and love he deserves, Cob will undoubtedly reward you with unwavering loyalty and endless cuddles. With a little time and a lot of love, Cob is sure to become the cherished companion you’ve been searching for.
Hood and his brother Piglet Jr. are brother boars who are looking for a new home together. Hood is the bolder brother and loves to cuddle with humans and is known to be quiet the escape artist. Male guinea pigs benefit from a more spacious enclosure and two of everything to keep both boys happy.

Cholula and Tapatio were originally kittens in an outdoor cat colony. In their first year, they moved inside with a kind samaritan who cared for the colony. These sweet kitties are shy at first given their history of starting life at a distance from people, but they have been known to make human friends with plenty of time and space to grow their confidence. They could be adopted together or separately. Each of these kitties would likely benefit from having a confident feline friend at home, so if you have a resident cat looking for a pal, one of these hot sauce cats might be right for you!
We’d like to introduce a very special cat named Ninja. He is a 3 year old, and has a progressive case of FeLV – or Feline Leukemia Virus – which will shorten his lifespan, and we are hoping to find him a loving indoor-only home where he can live out his life. Despite his diagnosis, he can be social and affectionate with those he knows, once he is comfortable in his new space. Ninja would need to be the only cat in the household, or have feline friends that also have FeLV. Interested adopters should click the inquire button below to learn more and shelter staff will provide additional counseling on FeLV and answer any questions at the time of adoption.
More info on FeLV can be found here: https://veterinarypartner.vin.com/default.aspx?pid=19239&id=4951934
