Carlos is an adorable 1 year old Nigerian Dwarf wether. He is very shy, so would do best in a home with an experienced adopter who can handle him and help him warm up to people over time. He deserves a loving home where he can relax and learn that humans are his friends!
Goats are herd animals and need the company of other goats to be healthy and happy. We are looking for adopters who can take at least a pair of goats or have an existing herd at home that they’d like to expand. Interested adopters should have housing for their goats to include proper shelter from the elements and fencing to contain these notorious escape artists. As they say – if it can’t hold water, it can’t hold a goat!
All goats are up to date on their medical needs, but will need routine maintenance moving forward for things like hoof trims and yearly vaccines.
Interested in adding a hilarious and sweet group of goats to your home? Fill out an adoption form by clicking the “Inquire” button and a staff member will reach out to discuss!
Guinea pigs can make wonderful pets! They are very social creatures which means that they generally need at least one companion! Guinea pigs can be quite noisy which can be lovely as long as you are expecting it!

Meet Sweet Pea, our sensitive and special cat in need of a patient and understanding adopter! Transitioning to a new home can be overwhelming for her so she’s searching for someone willing to give her all the time she needs to settle in comfortably. Sweet Pea’s success hinges on adopters who can read and understand her body language, as meeting new people can be quite daunting for her.
She may find solace in a small bubble once she settles in with you. Think of her as a “pet themselves on you” kind of cat; she should always initiate interactions, and a “petting consent test” could be helpful in ensuring she’s comfortable and in control of the situation. If you’re ready to provide a loving and understanding forever home to this special kitty, come meet Sweet Pea today and embark on a journey of mutual trust and companionship.
Introducing Tunka, the delightful embodiment of joy and exuberance in canine form! This adult female dog is a bundle of silliness, playfulness, and cuddles all wrapped up in a big, lovable package. Tunka doesn’t just have a big personality; she’s also a big girl who dreams of being a lap dog, unaware of her considerable size. Families considering adopting Tunka should be prepared for a canine companion who brings boundless energy and affection into their lives.
Despite her size, Tunka’s heart is as large as her enthusiasm for life. She’s a happy-go-lucky girl who finds sheer delight in the simple pleasures, whether it’s chasing after a favorite toy or snuggling up for a cozy cuddle session. Potential adopters with children should be comfortable with a dog who may not understand personal space boundaries but makes up for it with heaps of love and loyalty. If you’re ready to welcome a furry friend who embodies the spirit of pure joy, come meet Tunka!

Worried about ticks and flies around your barn this summer? Our guinea fowl can help! We have several male guinea fowl available for adoption and they are experts at eating up any and all insects around your property. They are a bit shy and skittish around people, but get along with each other very nicely and have easily coexisted within a mixed flock of roosters and hens. They have stunning feathers and a very distinct voice when they get all riled up. They are a super entreating bunch who love to zoom around in their outdoor enclosure and perch up high in the sunshine.

More about Merami:
I am here at the shelter looking for my new home because I was fearful of the dog in my previous home. I stayed in a foster home while I waited for a dental, and my foster mom said that I am wonderful when approached on my own terms. I love to be pet and brushed, but only when I want them. When I am ready I will come up to you with head bumps, or put my paw on your arm. My adopter should use consent tests with me, and let me initiate contact, or scratches may be the result.
I will need a slow introduction to my new home. After several weeks in foster I became much more snuggly and affectionate, and 90% of the time I would sit on laps when they were available, but even then my cues needed to be watched.
I love sitting by windows to watch birds in a tall cat tree. I`ll occasionally show interest in wand toys and pounce toys, but mostly I like naps and lap time.
My ideal adopter will be very cat-savvy, who will let me initiate every social interaction, and who will read and understand my cat-body language. I am a really lovely cat, but with the right adopter!!
The shelter is open Tuesday through Sunday from noon – 4:30pm, with no appointment needed to meet available cats.
Compatibility:
Cats: No thanks!
Dogs: No thanks!
Kids: Teens and older who are very cat-savvy

More about Rio:
I am a social, sweet, playful and interactive young guy! I LOVE scratching boxes and posts, and my adopter should provide plenty of options for me to enjoy.
We have no history of my life in a home environment since I was originally found as a stray. My adopter should expect to learn more about my true personality and give me time to adjust in my new space.
I will need a slow introduction to my new home, litter box, and any existing pets while I settle in and become comfortable in my new surroundings.
The shelter is open Tuesday through Sunday from noon to 3:00pm, with no appointment needed to meet available cats.
Compatibility:
Cats: Possibly – did well seeing the other cats in the room during his quarantine period.
Dogs: Possibly – would do best with a low key dog friend with a very slow introduction
Kids: Yes!
Meet Pumba! This lovable pig lives up to his namesake as the friendliest warthog around, though do not worry we promise he is still a potbelly pig and not an actual warthog! Pumba loves to show you his sit to get a treat and will follow you around until you indulge him in some forehead scratches and belly rubs.
Pumba is currently a bit underweight and has some tough dry skin that we are working to get under control. Hes been hard at work gaining some weight and muscle again and staff would be happy to chat with you about his medical needs going forward but adopters should plan to have a good relationship with their (pig) veterinarian!
Like all pigs, Pumba will need room to roam, graze, root, and wallow. A proper pig proof enclosure and fencing is a must with access to an indoor space for shelter as needed. Pumba may be able to live with other pigs and farm animals but slow introductions are always recommended.
Interested in learning more about Pumba? Fill out an adoption inquiry but clicking the Inquire button and a staff member will reach out to discuss!

We’re Rico and Tito, a dynamic duo of chihuahua mix brothers on the hunt for our new home! Life’s been a bit sheltered for us so far, but that just means we’re experts in the art of cuddling and cuteness.
We’ll admit, we’re a tad shy at first, but give us some time and patience, and we’ll shower you with more love and affection than you can handle.

So, if you’re ready to add a sprinkle of spice and everything nice to your life, swing by and speak to adoption staff about us, Rico and Tito! We promise to fill your days with endless tail wags and adorable antics.

More about Charlie:
I am social, playful and sweet with the people I have in my friendship bubble. I love to play with toy mice and wand toys!
I will need a slow introduction to my new home, starting in one quiet room with managed hiding places, and gradually be given more access to the home as I settle in. It is expected that I might struggle with transition since I have been a bit quiet and shut down here at the shelter. My adopter should be prepared to set me up in my quiet room and ideally leave me alone unless feeding or cleaning, and let me solicit interactions as I settle in and become comfortable in my new surroundings.
Medical records are available for review.
The shelter is open Tuesday through Sunday from noon – 4:30pm, with no appointment needed to meet available cats.
Compatibility:
Cats: Possibly – no history, and with a slow introduction
Dogs: Possibly – no history – mellow, cat-savvy and knows to respect his space

Meet Loon! She is 8 months old and is ready for her new home! She can be worried in new situations and is looking for someone to give her time and space to feel cozy/comfortable but once shes opened up, she gets excited easily and loves to play! While she and her adopters get to know each other, her bubble should be kept small and predictable. Additionally, her adopters should be prepared for all things puppy: house training, puppy-proofing, and working on fine-tuning her manners using a gentle approach. Any kids in the home should be old enough to give her space while shes settling in, and to participate in training once shes more comfortable in the home.

Meet Jewel! This shy girl is looking for a patient adopter who is able to efficiently read cat body language. She may need some extra time and patience to adjust to his new surroundings. She has gone through a lot of transissions in a short period of time and would love to find her forever home. Come meet Jewel today.
Meet Nala, the epitome of grace and independence wrapped in a furry coat. This enchanting feline is seeking a forever home where she can reign supreme as queen of her castle. Nala is a connoisseur of personal space, preferring to dictate the terms of affection. While she may get overstimulated with touch, she thrives in an environment that honors her boundaries and allows her the freedom to “pet herself on you.” In return, Nala promises to grace her chosen companions with moments of playful charm and undeniable sweetness, as long as they respect her pace.
Despite her occasional need for solitude, Nala is a spirited soul with a penchant for adventure. She’ll delight in exploring her surroundings and engaging in playful antics when the mood strikes her. Are you ready to welcome Nala into your heart and home, where she can thrive on her own terms? Come meet her today!
Meet Hank! Hank is a beautiful Lorikeet who is ready to fly off to their new home. They have a history of overplucking and so a relationship with an exotics vet will be a plus!
Lorikeets can be highly social (even attention seeking!) and have beautiful colors. Lorikeets originate from the southeast Asia archipelago or parts of Australia and tend to live in large groups. They can live up to 30 years with proper nutrition and care. They are nectivores and eat nectar, pollen, fruits and veggies.
Lorikeets can be very active, requiring lots of enrichment opportunities and can be wonderful training companions. They love to play with toys and will play with just about anything! Because Lorikeets cannot talk, they can be quieter than other parrot species. Hank does still love to make himself known though!
We recommend a cage that is at least 32”x23” (Width x depth) with a maximum of 5/8-3/4” bar spacing. Cages should include lots of perches, trays for food/water and lots of toys for enrichment. Lorikeets love to bathe and ideally will have the ability to bathe multiple times a day.
The needs of each bird are unique and if you have questions about the right type of enclosure for the bird you are interested in, please feel free to give us a call! We are happy to provide guidance and advice.
