The animal control bill, S.2192, is pending in House Ways & Means. It passed the Senate with a few amendments attached, including one to include pets in restraining orders. Ask your Representative to support S.2192.

Mousepads available
We collaborated with several other organizations to create a cute mousepad to give to legislators and staff at Lobby Day so that they think frequently of animals and those who advocate for them. You can have a mousepad for a minimum $5 donation to the MSPCA.

Breed specific legislation - update on Malden
Thankfully, Malden's Mayor (and some city councilors) realized that BSL is NOT an effective way to prevent dog bites and vetoed an ordinance that focused on pit bulls; it was sent back to the ordinance committee with suggestions for revision to address dangerous dogs. Read more>>
