Anatomic and Clinical Pathology
Angell's clinical pathology services include hematology, chemistry, microbiology and cytology.
 
Avian and Exotic Pet Medicine
The care of avian and exotic species is among Angell's fastest growing specialties.


Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery
Pets with signs of cardiovascular and respiratory disease - murmur, abnormal heart rhythm, coughing, abnormal or difficult breathing - may need the care of a cardiologist.
 

Dentistry
Periodontal disease, which affects 85 percent of dogs and cats over age 2, is a painful and progressive gum disease.

Dermatology
The Angell Dermatology Service manages a wide variety of allergic and dermatologic conditions and offers an Ear Clinic for chronic ear diseases.
 
Diagnostic Imaging
Among state-of-the-art imaging technologies available at Angell is a new magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) unit designed specifically for animals - highly useful in the evaluation of neurologic conditions, soft tissue masses, bone disorders, and ligament and tendon injuries.

Emergency and Critical Care Medicine
The highly trained veterinarians who comprise our emergency and critical care service - the 24/7 pulse of the Angell care network - treat pets suffering from life-threatening trauma and disease. 

General Medicine
Consistent with Angell's reputation as a full-service veterinary hospital, members of our staff provide wellness and primary care to our local client base. 

Internal Medicine
The internal medicine team provides expertise in endocrinology (e.g., diabetes, thyroid and parathyroid disorders), gastroenterology, kidney and liver diseases, immune-mediated and infectious diseases, dermatology, geriatrics and health maintenance.

I-131 Therapy Program: A radioactive iodine treatment for felines battling hyperthyroidism, a disease which causes irregular thyroid activity.
Neurology and Neurosurgery
Diagnosis and treatment of seizure disorders, disc disease, meningoencephalomyelitis, brain tumors, vertebral malformations/instability and all other types of central as well as peripheral nervous system diseases are available.
 
Nutrition
Our nutrition service is a comprehensive program providing dietary recommendations to the Angell veterinary staff and practitioners nationwide as well as to pet owners.
   Weight Loss Study: A study with overweight dogs.
   Renal Study: A study to learn how diet plays a part in treating dogs with Renal disease.

Oncology
Angell Animal Medical Center offers a complete medical and surgical oncology service for companion animals.
 
Ophthalmology
Our board-certified ophthalmologists provide extensive diagnosis and treatment of inherited, acquired or traumatic conditions involving the eyelids, cornea, iris, retina, optic nerve and orbit.
 
Pain Medicine
The Pain Medicine Service is a focused clinic that offers treatment for companion animals with discomfort that negatively affects their quality of life, regardless of their primary diagnosis.

Surgery
Members of the surgery staff at Angell Animal Medical Center - Boston are dedicated full time to surgery, providing a key service to other members of the Angell staff and referring veterinarians.
