Deadline to have your ornament ready for the Tree Lightings is tomorrow.
You can still make your donation and get your pet's photo on the Boston Holiday Trees at the Prudential Center or our Nevins Farm Holiday Tree in Methuen. Or you can call Cory Berry-Whitlock at (617) 541-5046 for the Boston Trees and Heather Robertson at (978) 687-7453 x6118 for the Nevins Tree. We add ornaments to the trees during the month of December, but if you send your photo before November 30th, we'll have your ornament up in time for the tree lighting. Our elves are that good!
Come celebrate with us at one of our Holiday Tree Lighting ceremonies: in Boston on Thursday, December 6th at 5:30 pm, near the Prudential Center's Huntington Ave. entrance, or at Nevins Farm on Saturday, December 1st at 4:30 pm In Boston, there will be holiday tunes from Lynda D'Amour, and treats for people and their pets from Audrey's Pet Supply, Wicked Good Cupcakes, and Top of the Hub. In late December 2011, members of our MSPCA family lost a dear friend when Alison Irving, 24, veterinary technologist at Angell Animal Medical Center, was killed in an automobile accident. Through the generosity of Alison's aunt and uncle, Karen and Don Irving, the Alison Irving Rescue Fund was established to honor Alison's deep love for animals. The fund will pay for the medical needs of homeless animals in our adoption centers.
The Irvings have just made another generous donation to the Fund, and, in addition, will match all donations we receive by December 31st up to the amount of $5,000. This is a really wonderful way to make your donations count! Click here to donate to the Alison Irving Rescue Fund. (Any funds received in excess of $5,000 will also go to the Fund, but will not be matched.) Thank you!

The first place dog finisher, "Scout," crossed the finish line with his owner Joe McCabe--a mere six months after Scout was abandoned in a parking lot.
