Animal control law takes effect - thank you!

Gov. Patrick signs animal controlThe animal control law is in place, providing more benefits for animals in Massachusetts than any other single piece of legislation. Thank you for your help throughout the process. Read more.  


Homeless Animal Care and Prevention Fund tax check off 
The animal control law will be funded by income tax donations to the Homeless Animal Prevention and Care Fund. Donations will be used for spay/neuter surgeries and vaccinations, as well as training of animal control officers. Read more.

2012 Hall of Fame winners
Congrats to advocacy's award winners: Raina Baier, Becca Davis, Emily Marget and Sophia Smith are young animal advocates who worked diligently on legislation to help animals. Malden's Mayor, Gary Christenson, and City councilor, Barbara Murphy, showed their support for all dogs and vetoed an ordinance that focused on pit bulls.  For more information about all of the winners, read our press release.
