ELEPHANT Experts in Boston
 This week, we were grateful to have experts from across the country in town to testify against the use of the bullhook and chains on traveling elephants -- and learned more about Tarra & Bella, the elephant and dog from The Elephant Sanctuary.  Au Bon Pain recently hatched a cage-free egg policy in its Massachusetts locations! This is a great, progressive step forward and will reduce the suffering for tens of thousands of hens in battery cages. HOMELESS FOR THE HOLIDAYS Join the MSPCA's Boston Animal Care and Adoption Center on December 9-13 for their annual Gift and Bake Sale to benefit homeless animals. Gifts include beds, scratching posts, leashes, collars, toys, treats from many high-end retailers. Santa will be visiting on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 12 & 13. Racing License Denied in Raynham
In a last-ditch attempt in their continued fight against the phase out of greyhound racing in January 2010, Raynham-Taunton applied for a license for greyhound racing dates in 2010. Thankfully, the Racing Commission denied this license, which clearly conflicted with the ballot question. Read More »
